The role
Reporting to the Manager, Employment Relations. Your role will provide high level industrial relations, human resource and employee relations advisory and support services to stakeholders across Queensland Health. It also manages emergent industrial matters (including the prevention of potential disputes), leads and manages key projects. You will also lead the Queensland Health participation in the review of Minister for Industrial Relations Directives and update HR policies and systems as a result of the Directive review or stemming from bargaining outcomes.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
- An ability to play a leading role in enterprise bargaining processes including day-to-day negotiations and conciliation or arbitration hearings at the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.
- High level skills in the preparation and management of all aspects of industrial disputes, demonstrated through advocacy, and negotiation skills, and an in-depth knowledge of Queensland Industrial Relations Commission rules and procedures.
- A record of achievement in providing high level advisory and support services to senior stakeholders on a range of human resource and industrial relations matters.
- Abilities in applying high level innovation and analytical problem solving and solution/options generation skills, with a flexible and agile approach in a complex, rapidly changing, and sensitive environment.
- Proven ability to negotiate and influence others to achieve organizational objectives and high level capability in building productive relationships with key stakeholder groups.

About Corporate Services Division
Corporate Services Division provides business, corporate and operational services to the Department of Health and, in certain circumstances, to the broader Queensland public health system (Queensland Health, comprising the department and 16 hospital and health services).
The division is responsible for leading the department's budget, financial reporting processes, human resource services, knowledge management, legal services, business enhancement and facilities management activities. More broadly, the division is also responsible for leading system-wide industrial relations activities, major capital infrastructure delivery projects, certain human resources functions undertaken on a system-wide basis, and other corporate services functions
