Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, Metro North Hospital and Health Service, the Director, Governance and Strategic Initiatives - is accountable for the delivery and performance of Enterprise Architecture, Digital Governance policies, standards, frameworks and associated reporting ensuring Metro North Hospital and Health Service meets its compliance and governance obligations under relevant legislation and standards. Responsibilities include overarching leadership to support the MNHHS Information Security Management System and a new digital service and asset management capability.
The role has a strategic focus on Enterprise Architecture, Risk, Audit and Compliance whilst supporting the Digital Metro North operational support and the project delivery teams.
Together with the requirements of the role description, our ideal candidate will have the ability to:
- Provide strategic leadership, coordination and collaboration to advance digital improvement and proof of concept initiatives across Metro North Health. This should include industry trends, threats and market ICT service capabilities to ensure sustainability of the DMN service portfolio.
- Provide leadership, support and direction for the development of the overarching enterprise architecture, standards and processes with particular focus on promoting information sharing, interoperability and standardization (where possible) across all Metro North Health facilities.
- Develop, manage, continually improve and drive adoption of governance policies, standards, frameworks, approaches and mechanisms that improve efficiency, effectiveness and appropriateness of digital and ICT service delivery that are outcome focused.
Key knowledge and experience
The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven ability at the senior level to provide leadership and strategic direction to influence the digital agenda that enables the sustainable delivery of quality digital services and solutions in a large complex healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading the development, implementation and management of ICT governance, policy, architecture and service improvement frameworks within a diverse and complex service delivery organization.
- Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to translate this analysis into pragmatic approaches to digital governance and service delivery which create real value for healthcare delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of information security and information security risk management strategies, policies and standards in a large, complex and geographically dispersed service delivery organization.
