The list of federal medical centers that perform medical evacuations has been proposed to be shortened.

The Ministry of Health shall update the List of federal State institutions which carry out medical evacuation. The draft order is published on the regulation.gov.ru portal.
The document will replace the order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development No. 500n of 5.05.2012. The new list will include 114 medical centers (the previous order included 140).
The new list is also dominated by medical institutions of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) and the Ministry of Health. In addition, institutions of the Ministry of Defense, the Presidential Affairs Directorate, the Federal Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Federal Penitentiary Service have been added to the list. At the same time, all institutions of the Russian Academy of Sciences will be excluded from the list.
According to Article 35 of Federal Law No. 323-FZ "On the Fundamentals of Citizens' Health Protection", which regulates the provision of emergency, including specialized emergency medical care, medical organizations subordinate to federal executive authorities have the right to carry out medical evacuation in accordance with the procedure and under the conditions established by the authorized federal executive authority.
